My other beer is bourbon.

National Bourbon Month may be coming to an end, but the celebration of good Kentucky bourbon continues year-round at Goodwood locations. We offer a long list of bourbon at all locations, but we are particularly proud of our own Goodwood spirits collection; a honey ale barrel finish bourbon, stout finish bourbon and a classic rye. (Stay tuned for a new release with a walnut ale barrel finish coming soon.) Our bourbons are featured in our craft cocktails and available for purchase by the pour or the bottle if you’re really thirsty.

Also new to the Goodwood family of bourbons is our collaboration with Three Chord Bourbon, Sweet Harmony- made from a blend of six, seven and fifteen-year-old Kentucky bourbons aged in Three Chord charred oak barrels. After being used to age a Goodwood imperial stout, barrels were filled with bourbon before traveling across multiple states on a “barrel tour,” coming home to Kentucky for sale and distribution. The resulting spirit has notes of deep oak and buttery caramel with chocolate malt surrounded by warm oak with a rich mouthfeel, followed by a finish of molasses and tobacco. Find Sweet Harmony at our Kentucky taprooms and select liquor stores while it lasts.

Bourbon enthusiasts traveling up and down the Kentucky Bourbon Trail owe themselves a stop at Goodwood (Lexington, Frankfort or Louisville locations). Our bourbon collections include dozens of bourbons to suit any palate from smoky to smooth, sweet to spicy, and everywhere in between. We’re the perfect place to pause for lunch or dinner before your next adventure. Find bourbon trivia on our calendar. Choose any four and create your own bourbon flight. Check out the Goodwood Old Fashioned on the craft cocktail list. Pick up a souvenir t-shirt that says “my other beer is bourbon…”

Is your mouth watering, but you don’t live near a Goodwood location? Our distribution area for bourbon is expanding as of this month, from just a few states to over ten throughout the country. We recently sent a pallet to California and Washington. Nevada, Arizona and Alabama are on the list and many more. Additionally, for anyone who lives in a state where alcohol can be shipped, our bourbons are sold online at We don’t want anyone going thirsty.

Will travel for good bourbon? Find us next weekend at Bourbon on the Banks. This annual celebration of all things bourbon will take place on September 30 and October 1, 2022 in Frankfort, Kentucky on the banks of the Kentucky River. For more information and tickets, visit their website. Be sure to stop by our tent to taste good bourbons!
