Hop to It, Top 5 Dining Spots

The Crave Food + Music Festival in Lexington features great bands, delicious dishes from restaurants and food trucks, and a car show. Special guests include Food Network star Jason Smith and Best Baker in America winner Jackie Joseph.

A third brewery is set to grace downtown Owensboro near the end of the year. Louisville-based Goodwood Brewing Co. will operate on the first floor of The Enclave building at the corner of Frederica Street and Veteran’s Boulevard.

Around 30 volunteers participated in the first ever ``Sweep & Sip`` on Sunday, a cleanup event in partnership with Brightside, Louisville Downtown Partnership and local breweries.

Nearly a year ago, the National Restaurant Association issued some dire statistics, saying nearly one in six restaurants nationwide, or about 100,000, had closed either permanently or long-term due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly 3 million restaurant employees were out of work as the industry was on the brink of losing $240 billion in sales by year’s end.
